  Jet Airways introduces Bus Service between Abu Dhabi and Dubai effective 24 April2008

Jet Airways has arranged for a scheduled bus service transporting passengers between Abu Dhabi Airport and Dubai . This bus service commences operations on 24th April 2008 with the following timings:


Abu Dhabi–Dubai           ~ 9W 7485        :  DEP 0115         ARR 0245

Dubai Abu Dhabi          ~ 9W 7486        :  DEP 2000         ARR 2200

 

Conditions:

 

        Abu Dhabi Dubai Abu Dhabi must be sold in conjunction with Mumbai – Abu Dhabi – Mumbai and Delhi Abu Dhabi - Delhi segments only and cannot be sold as a stand alone segment.

        Seaman passengers are not allowed to use the bus service from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and vice versa.

        Passengers availing of this service must be ticketed on Jet Airways (9W) plated stock or Jet Airways (9W) documents. E-ticketing is currently not permitted on this segment.

        The bus services are for connecting Jet Airways Revenue passengers only and not for local traffic.

        Passengers whose UAE visas are issued in Dubai by a sponsor must ensure the visa is deposited at the Abu Dhabi airport for collection as the passenger will clear Immigrations in Abu Dhabi .

        Note: Passengers with electronic visas issued by the Dubai authorities cannot use the bus service as they must clear Immigrations only in Dubai .

On departure of the bus from Abu Dhabi to Dubai , the designated Abu Dhabi Sales staff will uplift the coupons and send them in a revenue documents envelope along with the list to Revenue Accounts, Mumbai.

Jet Airways Revises YQ Fuel Surcharge effective 01 May 2008 .

 

Jet Airways  will be revising their YQ Fuel Surcharge Ex India to New York , San Francisco and Toronto with effective from 01May2008 . The revised YQ will be applicable on all tickets, PTAs and MPDs issued or reissued on or after 01May2008 . The revised YQ is applicable when point of sale is India and journey originating in India .  The revised YQ from India to San Francisco will be applicable with commencement of Mumbai-San Francisco direct operations.

 

Jet Airways Launches its daily direct flight to Abu Dhabi from Delhi & Mumbai

 

Jet Airways, India ’s premier international airline, today launched its daily direct flights to Abu Dhabi from Mumbai and Delhi , effective April 23, 2008 .  The introduction of this new destination marks Jet Airways’ first foray into the United Arab Emirates , expanding the airline’s Gulf route network to five destinations.

Jet Airways’ flight 9W 582 (Delhi-Abu Dhabi) will depart Delhi 's Indira Gandhi International Airport at 2100 hrs and arrive at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 2335 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 581 (Abu Dhabi-Delhi) will depart Abu Dhabi International Airport at 0025 hrs and arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport , Delhi at 0520 hrs.

Jet Airways’ flight 9W 584 (Mumbai-Abu Dhabi) will depart Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 2135 hrs and will arrive at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 2325 hrs. On the return leg, flight 9W 583 (Abu Dhabi-Mumbai) will depart Abu Dhabi International Airport at 0015 hrs and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport , Mumbai at 0450 hrs.

For the convenience of Jet Airways passengers connecting to Dubai and vice versa, the airline will offer a seamless transfer through scheduled bus services effective April 24, 2008 .  Jet Airways bus service 9W 7485, Abu Dhabi to Dubai will depart Abu Dhabi Airport at  0115  hrs and arrive Dubai at 0245 hrs., while Bus service 9W 7486 will depart Dubai at 2000 hrs  and arrive Abu Dhabi Airport at  2200 hrs to connect to flights from Abu Dhabi to Delhi and Mumbai. (The above sectors can be sold ONLY  in conjunction with Mumbai – Abu Dhabi- Mumbai and Delhi Abu Dhabi - Delhi segments.  Passengers availing of this service must be ticketed on Jet Airways travel document).

United Airlines Announces New Checked Bag Policy

 

United has announced revision to its domestic baggage policy. For tickets purchased April 4 and beyond, for travel May 5 and beyond, United will be collecting USD 25 as BAG-FEE for all Economy Fares. (The new policy includes both refundable and non-refundable fares.)

 

Additionally, customers traveling on a government fare or a Standard Award ticket in Economy class also will be subject to the new service fee. Details of United’s new checked bag policy is available at united.com/baggage.

 

The following customers will not be charged a service fee to check a second bag:

 

• Customers who have purchased Business or First class fares

 

• All Mileage Plus Premier members (defined as 1K, Premier Executive, Premier and

   Premier Associate)

 

• All Star Alliance Gold and Silver members

 

• Customers who buy a ticket before February 4, 2008 , or who fly before May 5, 2008

 

·         For itineraries that include International flights (except Canada), checking a second bag will continue to be free and the cost to check more than two bags or items that are overweight or require special handling varies by destination.

 

Emirates connects with Kozhikode

Emirates announced the launch of its six flights a week service to Kozhikode which will be effective from July 1. This is Emirates’ third foray in Kerala after Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram and its 10th in India . This expansion is the testimony of the airline’s long-standing commitment to the Indian market and its vast expansion drive.

Trident hotel recently announced its new identity. ‘Trident Hilton’ hotels located in Gurgaon (Delhi National Capital Region), Agra , Jaipur, Udaipur , Cochin , Bhubaneswar and Chennai have been rebranded ‘Trident’. ‘ Hilton Towers ’ in Mumbai is now ‘Trident, Nariman Point, Mumbai’. The 436-key Trident hotel at Bandra Kurla, Mumbai is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2008. We expect Trident, Bandra Kurla to be the market leader in North Mumbai . A 320-key Trident hotel at the new international airport in Bangalore and a 334-key Trident hotel at Cyber City , Hyderabad will be under construction soon.
